Project Management

Introduction

Many people manage projects without having had any formal training beforehand because it is “common sense”. Of course a lot of project management is common sense but if you do not know where to start or which controls you should use to help you finish on time and within budget while delivering the quality your customer wants, you can waste a lot of resources and/or it can be very stressful.

This workshop is based on PRINCE2® and is aimed at Project Managers and anyone else with an interest in projects.

Aim

To be able to use a simple process model and set of templates to make a successful outcome to the project more likely.

Objectives

By the end of the programme, delegates will be able to:
• Use a simple process model to schedule key activities in the correct sequence
• Understand the key control points, the decisions required and what must be prepared prior to the decision being made
• Create a project management team
• Write a Business Case
• Develop project and stage plans
• Manage risk successfully
• Set up and use key project controls
• Use templates to create key project documents
