“When I went on the "Personal Effectiveness" course run by Charlotte in Birmingham, I approached it in my usual manner. It's a day off work away from demanding clients, but I really wanted it to be helpful to me. I told my colleagues that if I only got one gold nugget of advice from the day, it would be worthwhile.
The course was super - just what I needed, but I got two gold nuggets instead of just one.
Firstly, Charlotte advised us to build "buffer times" (even fifteen minutes is better than none) into our daily diaries, so that we did not simply rush from one client to the other, or from one meeting to the next. Great advice - I follow it daily. But, the real nugget was her advice to plan for just half a day, so that when emergencies happened - as they did regularly - I would be able to respond to them. This was so simple to put into practice as I plan my own diary, but the effect of doing it was amazing. In my job, it is easy to feel swamped with the demands and needs of my clients. Following these two nuggets, this swamped feeling has been greatly reduced.
I enjoyed Charlotte's delivery manner, and appreciated the fact that she made time to address individual needs on the course. I would recommend this course to anyone."

I didn’t have any expectations thought it would be a refresher for reminding for good telephone manner. The outcomes were really good especially starting call handling reminding us about the customers view with difficulties getting through. I liked the session on handling complaints not to take it personally but remain calm. It was a good day and given me more confidence in dealing with ‘problem’ customers. See it from their point of view.
